BERITA SOLO - North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi enthusiastically introduced a 12-year-old child to the Deputy Governor of West Kalimantan Ria Norsan in the VIP room of Supadio Airport, Pontianak, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan).
"We need children whose hearts are as clean as Hasan's for future generations of scholars, we hope that this figure who can enforce what is right is true and what is wrong is indeed wrong," Edy Rahmayadi told Norsan, Wednesday (03/07/2019 )
The boy introduced by Edy Rahmayadi specifically to Norsan was a hafiz, a Quran memorizer named Hasan Basri Dalimunthe.
He is one of the contingents from North Sumatra who participated in the Tilawatil Quran (STQ) XXV Selection in Pontianak, West Kalimantan.
"His father said, Hasan had been memorizing the Quran since the womb," said Edy, who was present in Pontianak to encourage participants of STQ XXV from North Sumatra.
Hasan Basri himself is a participant from Nias who, since the age of 8 years, has memorized 30 juz of the Koran.
"His mother and father are not memorizers of the Koran, but their nine children are all memorizing the Koran," Edy explained again.
In response, the Norsan seemed impressed with Hasan. Norsan then asked the aspirations of the participants who were always wearing a robe or sarong.
"You want to be a cleric," Hasan said. Responding to Hasan, Norsan then said: "Hopefully it will become a cleric like Ustadz Abdul Somad".
But Hasan straightforwardly said that he wanted to become a cleric like Habib Rizieq.
Seeing Hasan's straightforward style of answering Norsan, everyone in the room chuckled, including the Governor's Expert Staff for Education, Health, Infrastructure, and Community Empowerment Asren Nasution and North Sumatra LPTQ Chair, Fuad Helmi Lubis.
Hasan is the 5th child (of 9 siblings) from Ramlan Dalimunthe (Abdurrahim) and Sri Mahrani Hasibuan (Siti Hajar).
Wednesday (3/7), Hasan is scheduled to compete in the 20th branch of the Tahfidz men's group at the Great Mujahidin Mosque, Pontianak. Especially for this branch participants are limited to no more than 20 years old.
"Hasan will appear on Wednesday. For the others before the break, he is like this, "Edy said with a smile.
Adding to that, Fuad Helmi said, one of Hasan's younger siblings was also a memorizer of 500 hadiths. "However, for the chance of STQN this time we have not lowered it," Helmi said.
Meanwhile, in an interview with the North Sumatra Public Relations Team, Hasan said that besides memorizing the Koran, his passion was playing football.
He claimed to be happy with Egyptian soccer player Mohamed Salah Ghaly who played for English club Liverpool.
