BERITASOLO ■ The West Java Provincial Government encourages the development of the Lido tourism area in Cigombong, Bogor Regency, to become the first Tourism Special Economic Zone (KEK) in West Java.
The Lido tourism SEZ is one of the seven SEZs to be developed in West Java.
West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said, the total investment value of the Lido Tourism SEZ on an area of more than one thousand hectares reached Rp38 trillion. The Tourism SEZ Lido is believed to boost tourism in West Java, especially in the area of Bogor Regency and parts of Sukabumi Regency.
"The investment value of Rp. 38 trillion, hopefully becomes the first tourism SEZ in West Java that we are currently pushing for approval by the central government," Emil said after reviewing the Lido tourism area on Wednesday (07/15/2020).
According to him, the Tourism SEZ could be the first comprehensive tourism area in West Java in one region. That way, one of the advantages is foreign exchange from abroad comes faster and easier.
"West Java tourism is beautiful, only there is no comprehensive nature, so we invite investors to build comprehensive scale tourism," Emil said.
Apparently, in Lido, the MNC group has more than one thousand hectares of land and is comprehensive. All kinds (needs) are there and when they are approved to become KEK, foreign exchange will come more quickly and easily and can also save foreign exchange out because everything is spent in the country.
As for the development of the Lido Tourism SEZ, Emil said that the workforce to be absorbed numbered 25 thousand people until 2038.
"Regional Original Revenues will also increase. And the most important thing is that our economic growth will increase by the presence of only this one point," Emil said.
The West Java Provincial Government is optimistic that the Lido Tourism SEZ will be approved by the central government because all administrative requirements as SEZ have been fulfilled.
"The SEZ is a minimum requirement to have 250 hectares of land, this is more than a thousand. Then there are 18 KEK administrative requirements that have been met, I think this shows the seriousness of the MNC Land so that (Lido) is given the status of KEK," said Emil.
