Beritasolo ■ A network of producers and dealers of Synthetic Tobacco (Home Industry) sold online through Social Media, successfully dismantled by the Bogor city police, West Java.
The arrest of the case was carried out by the Bogor Police Narcotics Detective Unit together with the Soekarno Hatta Customs, in the Tajur Halang District, Bogor Regency.
This was stated by the Bogor Police Chief AKBP Roland Ronaldy during a Press Conference, at the Bogor Mapolres, on Friday (07/10/2020).
The chronology of the disclosure of this Synthetic Tobacco Home Industry, continued AKBP Roland, originated from the suspicion of Customs officers with an increase in the number of packages containing chemicals from the Netherlands.
"After testing it was known that the chemical package sent from the Netherlands contained Narcotics Category 1, with the destination address of the recipient in Bogor Regency," explained the Bogor Police Chief.
For this matter, AKBP Roland said, the Drug Investigation Unit together with Customs conducted an investigation and succeeded in arresting 3 (Three) Perpetrators.
"Alhamdulillah, at this time we have succeeded in capturing producers and dealers of Synthetic Tobacco. The results of cooperation with the Soekarno Hatta Customs and Excise. The three actors who were successfully secured by Officers, including the initials AR (20), MZ (21) and AI (25)," Roland AKBP.
In addition to the three perpetrators, the officer succeeded in confiscating a number of items of evidence in the form of 5 kg of synthetic tobacco ready for distribution, 54 grams of synthetic tobacco which was obtained by an actor from the Netherlands who ordered online.
"Wherein from 54 grams of the synthesis agent can produce Narcotics type of synthetic tobacco ready for distribution," continued the Bogor Police Chief.
In addition to the evidence, other evidence was also secured, namely 1 (one) gas stove, 2 (two) small canisters, 4 (four) bottles of alcohol, 1 (one) press, 1 (one) digital scale , 25 (Twenty-five) Plastic packets of synthesized tobacco packages and 5 (Five) sheets of hologram stickers.
The suspects were charged under Article 113 paragraph (2) and or, 114 paragraph (2) and or 112 paragraph (2) RI Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics Jo Article 1 List of Narcotics Number 88 88 Minister of Health RI Regulation Number 5 Year 2020 concerning amendment classification Narcotics.
"With the threat of a minimum criminal sentence of 5 years and a maximum of 15 years and a criminal fine of at least Rp 1,000,000,000 (One Billion Rupiah)," said AKBP Roland Ronaldy
