Beritasolo ■ Solo Mayor FX Hadi Rudyatmo, signed the deed for the establishment of the Taman Sriwedari Mosque Foundation at the deputy mayor's official residence on Saturday (11/07/2020).
With the signing of this deed, the foundation is just waiting for approval from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, so that it has a legal entity.
The Mayor of Solo, FX Hadi Rudyatmo, said that the founding of the foundation was carried out so that the construction of the Taman Sriwedari Mosque could proceed immediately, because it already had legal force.
"Because there is already a foundation, I think the construction of the mosque can continue. For the lack of funds of Rp28 billion, the foundation can immediately work on it, "he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Taman Sriwedari Mosque Construction Committee, who is also the Deputy Mayor of Solo, Achmad Purnomo said, the construction of the Taman Sriwedari Mosque worth Rp165 billion had just finished 84 percent.
According to him, the construction had to be stopped, more due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
"The construction of the mosque, which belongs to the Surakarta City Government, is continuing and one of the shortfalls in funding will be fulfilled by submitting a proposal for assistance to the Ministry. Regarding the validity of the land used there is no doubt, because it belongs to the Surakarta City Government, "he explained.
